Post Producer

Who's Tux

Founded in Montréal, TUX is a creative agency that aims to set new stands in communication and brand image through a smart mix of talents, perspectives and expertise in strategy, graphic design and animation, and environment design. We have in-house production capabilities and a media planning division, which means our structure can handle any mandate from A to Z all within our walls.

As a LGBTQI+, B Corp and Eco-Cert certified company, TUX and its JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) crew are committed to making the daily workplace a diversified, equitable and inclusive environment. Finding a better way of doing business drives our thinking and actions. We actively support the well-being of our employees, community and the environment, and help brands with whom we partner to do the same.

At any moment, you could find yourself campaigning against patriarchy, attending an impromptu guitar jam on a Zoom call or geeking out over motion design techniques.

We are looking for a talented Post Producer who can work seamlessly with our creative teams. This person’s key role will be to support the creative department in the development of concepts, as well as ensure all related post-production projects run smoothly.

You at Tux

  • Providing administrative support throughout projects (opening/closing projects, issuing PO numbers, managing invoices, cost reports)
  • Providing photo and video production support (casting, managing teams/equipment, location search, shooting schedules)
  • Coordinating post-production steps for photo projects (photo retouching, colour print proofs)
  • Coordinating post-production steps for video projects (video editing, motion design, colorization, sound recording)
  • Managing talent involved on different projects (collaborators, freelancers, and subcontractors)
  • Documenting meeting discussions and communicating notes to everyone involved

Hard Skills

  • You see every post-production project as a blank canvas and a new challenge. You take the time needed to create a unique strategy for every project.
  • You understand every post-production phase—from offline to colo, adding vox, and motion design. You enjoy tackling CGI projects and are familiar with workflow from storyline to the final product.
  • You understand what each post-production software does and what talent is needed at any given stage of a project.
  • You know how to plan projects from start to delivery, and can seamlessly manage budgets, timelines, and talent every step of the way.
  • You have a head for numbers and can evaluate any budget and every detail. You ensure all projects stay on budget.
  • You are as excited as the creative team when it comes to thinking about concepts. You provide vital help to elevate the creative product, especially when it comes to finding the right talent at the right time.
  • You are eager to support the client partnership team, clients, and producers at every post-production stage, ensuring the project runs smoothly and everyone understands each process.
  • You are a natural, positive leader that people trust and you know how to support your teams.

Soft Skills

  • Collaboration: We want you to consciously put your ego aside and extend your hand while keeping your mind open each day. You must have faith that, by taking your hands off the wheel a little, you’ll ultimately come out a winner. Collaboration is our magic ingredient – it needs time to simmer to properly enhance the other ingredients.
  • Curiosity: Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned pro, the same advice applies: By recognizing your limits of your experience and establishing reasonable expectations with your co-workers, you’ll help create a safe environment where everyone can learn.
  • Perseverance: When you adopt a positive attitude and the proper mindset, each project becomes an opportunity for change, creativity and maybe even disruption. Perseverance makes great dreams possible.
  • Caring: At TUX, we look after our co-workers’ well-being by keeping a caring eye on each other. Since our different areas of expertise form a single service, we are aware of the effort that goes into the projects we are tasked with, which we treat with the same care. We also ensure all the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted, so we pass the baton smoothly to the next team in the project.

What's next

As with any such employment offer, we’re looking for traditional skills: a good grasp of French and English, agency/film set/project management experience, relevant studies and/or experience in a field related to this role, similar company values, excited about what we do, and so on.
